HUSCO International named Employer of the Year
The Waukesha-Ozaukee-Washington (W-O-W) Workforce Development Board named HUSCO International the 2014 "Employer of the Year."

Pewaukee, WIS. – The Waukesha-Ozaukee-Washington (W-O-W) Workforce Development Board named HUSCO International the 2014 “Employer of the Year.” This award is presented yearly to an employer in the three county area that has met and exceeded the Workforce Development Board criteria in the following categories: leadership, relationship with the Workforce Development Centers, workforce development practices, community involvement, effective use of community resources, number of new hires, excellent training and innovation in hiring, training, and retention.
Established in 1983, HUSCO has grown from a niche North American supplier into a global industry leader. Just in 2014, HUSCO was named in the Future 50 List of Firms in the Greater Milwaukee Area by the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce and its Council of Small Business Executives for their continued growth in revenue and resulting plant expansions that has enabled HUSCO to create over 150 permanent new jobs in Wisconsin; the Milwaukee Business Journal named HUSCO CFO, Todd Hoytink, to its list of 2014 CFO of the year winners for his work behind the scenes ensuring the success of his company; and, for the 3rd Year in row, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel named HUSCO as one of Southeastern Wisconsin’s Top Places to work – an award based on votes from the area’s workers. In addition, HUSCO has recently utilized the W-O-W Workforce Development Board’s On-the-Job Training program employing 11 new hires with an average hourly wage of $26.00.
HUSCO is also very involved in the community sitting on a number of education-focused boards including Teach for America, the Boys and Girls Club, and the YMCA of Greater Milwaukee. They actively visit campuses within the region in search of students interested in their Co-Op and Internship programs, where they are given the opportunity to pursue a career within the organization.

The W-O-W Workforce Development Board presented the Employer of the Year award to HUSCO International at the annual dinner meeting on Wednesday, September 24, 2014. The meeting was held at the Scenic View Country Club in Slinger, WI.
