Illinois Man Who Crashed Into Pole Fled Police: Report

Police K9 officer Nox was sent to track the flight of the vehicle's driver.

OAK CREEK, WI — Police in Oak Creek are trying to track down a Gurnee, Illinois man after the vehicle he owns was involved in a traffic accident in the Woodman's parking lot just before 11 p.m. on March 3.

According to police reports, a Woodman's customer crashed his vehicle into a pole and was walking around the parking lot, yelling. Workers from Woodman's reported the man ran north from the scene but did not get a good look at him.

Police investigated and reported finding open intoxicants in the back seat. Police K9 officer Nox was sent to track the flight of the vehicle's driver.

According to reports, Nox picked up a scent from the parking lot northwest through a field to S. Sixth St. but lost the trail after Sixth St.

It was unknown where the driver went after coming out of the field onto S. Sixth St., according got reports.
