Kids 'n Care Car Thieves Tried Running Dad, Son Over: Report

OAK CREEK, WI -- New information has been made public about the Kids 'n Care Day Care Center stolen vehicle case in Oak Creek last month.
According to a CBS 58 report, parent Cole White was picking up his young son from the day care when he left his car running in the parking lot. When he came out of the day care with his son in his arms, he told reporters that car thieves were trying to steal his car, and tried running he and his son over.
According to Oak Creek police, the department received a call from Milwaukee Police stating that the Kids 'n Care Day Care Center at at 6901 S. 20th Street was held up by men who implied - but did not display weapons - just before 4 p.m. on Jan. 8.

Oak Creek police officials told Patch that when officers responded, they learned that the original call had been overstated by officials in Milwaukee and that, in fact, no armed robbery took place.
Oak Creek police did report, however, that two men in their 20s were at the day care, and fled in a silver 2016 Chrysler 200 which they reportedly stole from the parking lot.
According to reports, West Allis police contacted Oak Creek police, saying they recovered the stolen Chrysler 200 after two suspects got out of the car and jumped into a white van that was last seen near 84th St and Becher that afternoon.

The suspects remain at large, according to authorities.
