The Oak Creek Knights defeated South Milwaukee in convincing fashion Friday afternoon, winning 5-1 to advance to the sectional final.
Pitcher Chris Bournelis, a first-team all-conference selection, gave up just one run over seven innings. Oak Creek's two-run fourth inning gave them a cushion it would never relinquish.
Friday's matchup was delayed by more than three hours due to a morning thunderstorm. The delay forced the sectional final, originally scheduled for Friday afternoon, to be moved to Saturday.
