Landscaping Crew Finds Unexploded Hand Grenade: Report
Officers on scene determined it to be an M67 hand grenade with an intact spoon and no pin.

OAK CREEK, WI — Police in Oak Creek responded to the 1400 block of W. Birdsong Drive on June 25 just after 9 a.m. on a report that a landscaping crew discovered an un-detonated hand grenade.
According to police reports, authorities told the landscaping crew to evacuate the area. Officers on scene determined it to be an M67 hand grenade with an intact spoon and no pin. A spoon is another term for the weapon's safety lever.
The Milwaukee County Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit to the scene. They determined that the device was inert and was no longer dangerous.

Reports stated that the landscape crew was clearing out shrubs when they found what appeared to be a grenade. It was muddy, had its spoon attached, and they did not know whether it was real.
