Large Industrial Building To Be Constructed Off Howell Avenue

A 120,000-square-foot industrial building will be built in an area off of Howell Avenue south of Rawson. 

The tenant lined up for the building is American Tire Distributors, which will use the facility for warehousing. The facility, owned by Oak Creek Commerce Development LLC, will be constructed at 340 E. Mahn Court. It is designed so that it could hold multiple tenants in the future. 

The facility will be more than 100 feet from any residential property line, but some neighbors told the Oak Creek Plan Commission they were concerned about the effects on nearby residential neighborhoods. Namely, they asked that landscaping be implemented so that it would be hidden from view as much as possible.

City officials said they have worked to alleviate those concerns and laid out the development to minimize the impact on residential neighborhoods.

The Plan Commission unanimously approved the plan Tuesday night. A construction start date is unknown.
