Larson Not Eligible for Recall Election

Senators must serve one year before they can be legally recalled.

As the stalemate over Gov. Scott Walker's budget-repair bill continues, several media reports in recent days have focused on the extraordinary high number of state senators who may face recall elections.

But while recalls may be all the rage these days, one senator who won't face one is Chris Larson, who represents Oak Creek.

Larson is ineligible because state law says senators have to be in office for one year before a recall can be initiated. Larson was elected in November.
