Loose Dog Causes Mayhem On Howell
A kennel with a large hole in it was apparently not enough to keep a dog in Oak Creek from getting out, eluding authorities.

OAK CREEK, WI — A kennel with a large hole in it was apparently not enough to keep a dog in Oak Creek from getting out, eluding authorities, the dog catcher and causing traffic hazards - all before returning home and causing trouble for its owner.
According to police reports, a 911 caller on the 100 block of W. Rawson Ave. reported that a stray dog was agressive and foaming at the mouth in the industrial loop.
Another person who called police said the medium-sized black and brown dog was not friendly and eating garbage in the area.

Police requested MADACC to help contain the loose dog.
It wasn't too much later before authorities found the dog on the 100 block of E. Rawson Ave. The dog resisted capture, and continued to elude officers between the 6800 and 7200 blocks of S. Howell Ave.

According to reports, the dog was running in traffic, causing numerous traffic hazards as it fled.
MADACC arrived during the pursuit of the dog, but fared no better until the dog finally ran to a residence in the 7200 block of S. Howell Ave. and was let in by its owner.
Police spoke with the dog's owner, who stated he placed the dog in a kennel, but it somehow got out.
When police took a look at the kennel, an officer observed a large hole in it that appeared to have been there for a long time with a bucket that was placed in front of it.
The dog's owner was cited for having a dog running at large.
