Love's Travel Stop Planning Expansion

Love's Travel Stop, 9650 S. 20th St., wants to build a small building on its property for tire repair and roadside assistance. 

The 1,200-square-foot building would be in the existing truck parking lot and service stranded trucks that have a flat tire. Truck tires could also be purchased on site, with the transaction done in the travel center.

The roadside assistance business would be open 24/7; the proposed building would be normally unoccupied.

The Plan Commission will review the proposal Tuesday and forward a recommendation to the Common Council.

Love's Travel Stops purchased the property, near the Ryan Road off ramp, from Flying J in 2010.
