Man Arrested After Hitting Wife With Cowboy Boot: Report

OAK CREEK, WI — Police in Oak Creek say they arrested a man after an apparent water fight turned more serious.

According to Oak Creek police call logs, officers responded to a call at just after 10 p.m. on Aug. 20 over an apparent domestic violence incident.

Police say a woman contacted authorities, saying that her husband hit her with a cowboy boot, and that she was now having a hard time breathing.

According to police, the woman said her family was having a water fight in the garage of their Oak Creek home, when her husband "took it too far" and struck her in the back with a cowboy boot. The woman said it was her impression that he intended to hurt her.

According to call logs, the woman was pouring water on her husband, and he reportedly asked her to stop several times. After the woman refused to stop pouring water on him, the man admitted to grabbing a cowboy boot, and swinging it over his shoulder at her, police said.
