Man Borrows Wrong Car, Has Key Work Anyway: Report
When a man borrowed the wrong car, and had the wrong key work anyway, it started a stolen vehicle case in Oak Creek.

OAK CREEK, WI — Police in Oak Creek say a case of a stolen car wasn't what it initially appeared to be after a man borrowed the wrong car - and had the key work in the ignition anyway.
According to Oak Creek police reports, a Kwik Trip employee parked his car in the employee parking lot of the Kwik Trip at 7880 S. 10th Street just before 2 p.m. on March 1.
Reports stated that when the employee went outside for a break at just after 5 p.m., he was surprised to see that his car was missing. The man told police he still had the car keys, that the car was locked, and there were no signs of forced entry, such as broken glass.

According to police, the man's vehicle was filed as stolen in Milwaukee County that day. Reports stated that police found the vehicle in the 5800 block of S. 13th Street about three hours later - and that the car's driver was just as surprised as the car's owner.
According to reports, the man told police he borrowed a car from a co-worker at Kwik Trip and didn't know that he had the wrong car, as the key actually worked in the wrong vehicle.

When police checked out the story, they found it to be true, and the car's rightful owner was contacted so he could pick his vehicle up.
