Man Flashed Gun In Oak Creek Road Rage Incident: Report

OAK CREEK, WI -- A bout of road rage that took place on I-94 and spilled over into Oak Creek has led to possible gun charges against one of the drivers, police say.

According to Oak Creek police reports, a man told police he was driving on I-94 in the Oak Creek area when he was cut off by the driver of a black Toyota. When he exited the freeway, he encountered the driver of the Toyota again near 13th Street and Drexel Ave.

According to reports, the man told police that at this time, the driver of the Toyota flashed a black handgun at him.

When police investigated, they later caught up to the driver of the Toyota at his place of residence that evening. When officers questioned the driver of the Toyota, he said the other driver cut he and his brother off on the freeway. He drove around the man, only to have him flash his lights at him, according to reports.

Police said the driver of the Toyota admitted to flashing the handle of his gun at the man while they were at 13th Street and Drexel Ave. so that he would "leave him alone."

According to reports, police are recommending charges of carrying a concealed weapon against the driver of the Toyota, as he does not have a conceal carry license.
