Man Lit Woman's Car On Fire On Valentine's Day: Police

Reports stated that as soon as the vehicle was lit on fire, it exploded.

OAK CREEK, WI -- Police in Oak Creek say they're searching for a suspect accused of lighting a Racine woman's vehicle on fire on Valentine's Day.

According to Oak Creek police reports, officers were dispatched to Capione Enterprises, 2201 W. Southbranch Blvd. just after midnight on Feb. 14 on a report of an arson case.

Reports stated that when they arrived, officers saw a vehicle up against the building and fully engulfed in flames.

According to reports, at just after 12:30 a.m., an unidentified man driving a late 90's Nissan Frontier truck with bright blue headlights pulled into the Capione north parking lot. He was seen on surveillance footage walking up to a woman's vehicle with a gallon jug of liquid.

According to the report, he poured the liquid onto the car and started it on fire. Reports stated that the woman was neither in nor near the vehicle at the time it was set on fire, and no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

Reports stated that as soon as the vehicle was lit on fire, it exploded. The man ran to his truck and fled the scene.

Police describe the man as between 5-foot-8 and six feet tall, and weighing between 200 to 230 pounds. He was last seen wearing a winter hat with a square logo on the front, and a two-tone black and gray coat. Police say he was also wearing gray sweatpants and black shoes with a white trim at the bottom.

In their description, police said the man's vehicle also had a light bar on the roof.
