Man Out On $45,000 Bond Surrenders to K9 Officer Nox: Report

Police noted that the driver stopped his vehicle after a 1.2-mile pursuit that ended on the 9300 block of S. 31st Street.

OAK CREEK, WI — Police in Oak Creek say they have arrested a man who was wanted in Kenosha County on more than $45,000 bond for multiple crimes including sexual assault and disorderly conduct.

According to Oak Creek police reports, police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for suspended registration near the 9500 block of S. 27th Street just after 5 p.m. on May 25.

Reports stated that as police attempted the traffic stop, the driver pulled into the Mobil gas station on 27th Street, only to flee at a high rate of speed north on 27th street. Police reported pursuing the fleeing vehicle, which made several abrupt turns and ran stop signs. Police noted that the driver stopped his vehicle after a 1.2-mile pursuit that ended on the 9300 block of S. 31st Street.

According to police, when the vehicle stopped and the officer approached it, the vehicle was unoccupied. A search of the nearby area resulted in a man being found hiding under some bushes about 20 yards away from his vehicle. He was arrested for resisting and obstructing an officer.

According to police, the man surrendered once police K9 officer Nox was deployed. The man was cited for resisting an officer. The man was also cited for operating a motor vehicle after suspension, and a suspended license.
