Man's 'Nazi Pictures' Protected Under First Amendment: Report

When police fielded an anonymous complaint about a man's "Nazi pictures" in the window of a house, authorities investigated.

OAK CREEK, WI — Authorities in Oak Creek say a resident on Pennsylvania Ave. is operating within their First Amendment rights after a person called the department complaining of swastikas and pictures of Hitler in the windows of the home.

According to Oak Creek police call logs, an anonymous caller contacted police at just after 1 p.m. on July 20 to make the complaint.

When police checked the home, located on the 7400 block of S. Pennsylvania Ave., they verified that there was Nazi material in the windows inside the home.

Police determined that the aforementioned materials were not a violation of the law, and further stated that they were inside the residence and on private property.
