Masked Men Attempt Break-In At Sportland: Police

A person who called 911 reported seeing two men wearing ski masks attempting to break in using a crowbar.

OAK CREEK, WI — Oak Creek police responded to the Sportland II, 7221 S. 13th Street, just after 1 a.m. on Dec. 9 on a report of a burglary attempt.

According to police reports, a 911 caller reported seeing two men wearing ski masks attempting to break in using a crowbar. The emergency caller told police that he scared them off.

The two suspects were last seen running west from the northeast corner of Sportland II. When police reviewed surveillance footage, they saw two men wearing dark sweatshirts approach the south side of the business, only to be scared off by the person who called the police.

Police deployed the K9 unit, who tracked the suspects' path to the Assembly of God church. Along the track, both masks and a glove were located.
