Meeting Will Focus On Hoan Bridge Bike/Pedestrian Lane

State legislators, other public officials will participate in discussion.

A neighborhood meeting focusing on the Hoan Bridge reconstruction project - particularly a possible bike/pedestrian lane - will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Aug. 23 at the Beulah Brinton cafeteria room, 2555 S. Bay St., Milwaukee (Bay View).

State Sen. Chris Larson, state Reps. Jon Richards and Christine Sinicki, members of the Milwaukee County Board and Common Council and state transportation officials will be on hand.

The state Department of Transportation is studying the feasibility of bike and pedestrian accommodations on the Hoan Bridge, which is scheduled to be re-decked in 2013.
