Meijer Salmonella Recall: Fresh Salads, Sandwiches at Risk

Meijer is recalling its fresh salads and sandwiches - and offering customers a full refund - because they pose a potential risk of Salmonella poisoning, according to a news release.

The "Markets of Meijer Salads and Sandwiches" were sold in Meijer stores from July 20, 2016, to July 25, according to the company's website. A cooked egg ingredient from Meijer supplier Prime Foods, LLC, tested positive for salmonella.
No illnesses have been reported.

Customers may return the products to any Meijer store for a full refund. For more information, contact Meijer at (800) 543-3704.
