Milwaukee's Best New Bar? That's in Greenfield
Greenfield's "The Brass Tap" tops the list of On Milwaukee's best new bars.

GREENFIELD — Greenfield residents don't have to go very far to enjoy the Milwaukee's best new bar.
The Brass Tap, 7808 W. Layton Ave. earned the top spot in On Milwaukee's "Best New Bar" category as selected by readers of the popular online entertainment publication.
The Brass Tap opened in January, and features more than 80 taps - all lined up in a row - for patrons to enjoy, and perhaps sample. There are also more than 120 bottled beers available.

It's the first Brass Tap in Wisconsin - a bit of a coup when you consider the apparent bustling bar scenes present in the Madison and downtown Milwaukee areas.
There's food available - a full menu - and all bartenders have to complete a special "beer school" before they can serve up the quality suds to patrons - of a legal age, of course.

Owner Nick Marking told On Milwaukee thathe picked the Greenfield location because the area was underserved by this type of business.
