Missing Oak Creek Girl Found: Report

After a girl went missing, police say a detective working the case located Olivia VanPinsker through one of her friends.

OAK CREEK, WI — A girl who had gone missing has been reported safe, after one of her friends brought her to the police department, according to Oak Creek police.

Police initially reported that Olivia VanPinsker was last seen at about midnight the previous evening and it is believed that she left her residence shortly after that. Her cell phone had been turned off and there has been no text or calling information since just before 9 p.m., which is not normal, her family said.

She was last seen wearing grey sweatpants and sweatshirt with black Nike Slides, as well as a maroon and black backpack with the word "PINK" on it, according to police reports.

According to police reports, a police detective working her missing persons case located VanPinsker through one of her friends. The friend brought her to the police department just after 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
