Small said that someone in the community had seen the missing person flyer and upon seeing Pownell, directed her to return home. Small said that Pownell returned to St. Charles and that she drove to the school to come get her.

This is the flyer Small had posted in the area and online as she searched for her daughter:

Small had told Patch on Monday night that Audrey had gone missing once in 2015, but she had returned about a day later. Small said this time it's different, because she was far from home, had no cell phone nor any money at the time of her last whereabouts.

She had feared the worst. Patch does not have details where Pownell was originally located, but as of Tuesday night, she is home safe and sound.
