New Details In Oak Creek Fatal Crash: Report
Callers reported seeing a person laying on the ground, a passenger bleeding and an elderly person who was unconscious.

OAK CREEK, WI — Oak Creek suffered its third fatal crash in a little more than two weeks, after a person died in a two-vehicle accident on Howell Ave. on Sunday afternoon.
Emergency vehicles could be seen lined up on the east side of S. Howell Ave. as emergency crews tended to accident victims near the intersection with E. Fieldstone Circle. Two vehicles sustained major front-end damage.
According to Oak Creek police call logs, multiple 911 callers called authorities just before 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, saying that there was a car accident on the 7700 block of S. Howell Ave.

Police call logs stated that rescue personnel and police officers responded to the scene and began CPR and live-saving measures.

According to police call logs, officers spoke with the driver of one of the vehicles while on-scene. The driver said she was heading south on the 7700 block of S. Howell Ave. and attempted to make a left-hand turn across S. Howell Ave. to turn into The Gables. The driver said she looked for traffic, but did not see anyone. As she headed east across S. Howell Ave, she reported being hit by another car.
Police said they talked with an occupant of the other vehicle. The driver of the second vehicle, which was heading north on Howell, said a car pulled out in front of her at the last instant and that she did not have time to stop before the crash.
Police said one person died at the scene of the crash, one person was transported to Froedtert Hospital for medical attention, and another to Ascension Southeast Hospital for medical attention.
The Wisconsin State Patrol also responded to the scene to investigate and conduct accident reconstruction.
Third Fatal Accident
Sunday's tragedy was the third fatal accident in a little more than two weeks this summer in Oak Creek.
According to Oak Creek police call logs, a 911 caller reported seeing a motorcycle down near the intersection of E. County Line Road. and S. Nicholson Road just before 1 a.m. on July 14.
Police call logs stated that an officer responded to the scene within minutes and found a man laying face down in the grass next to the motorcycle. The officer said the rider was unresponsive and had no pulse.
According to police, the officer performed CPR and Automated External Defibrillation in attempt to revive him, however the efforts would not prove successful.
Then, on July 18, officers were called to the 9500 block of S. Howell Ave. at just after 4 p.m. for a three-vehicle accident. Police said one person died in the accident, and that they are continuing to investigate this tragedy.
