New iPhones Didn't Last Long at Oak Creek Verizon Dealer

The hunt for the new iPhone 4 began this past Thursday across the country.

Verizon dealers across the country added the much-anticipated iPhone 4 to their shelves on Thursday.

They didn't stay there very long.

Oak Creek Verizon carrier Wireless Concepts, on the corner of Puetz and Howell, currently has the item on backorder after it sold out before noon on Day 1.

A manager at the Wireless Concepts admits that, being a smaller store, they weren’t allocated a big stock of the phones. Combined with the anticipation, it's easy to see why they didn't make it past the morning.

However, much of the buzz surrounding the phone’s release date has focused on the noticeable lack of pandemonium at stores across the country. Analysts have cited strong pre-order sales as the main reason why rabid customers weren’t lining up around the block and kicking down doors to snatch up the hot new item.

Granted, that doesn’t mean the iPhone 4 is collecting dust on shelves. Since the Verizon and Apple websites list Feb. 18th as the estimated shipping date for the new iPhone, it might seem like the fastest way to get one is trying your luck at stores carrying them, but many are likely to find only disappointment.

For updates on the iPhone 4 availability at Wireless Concepts, call (414) 766 -1500 between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. You can also stop in the store, 8750 S. Howell Ave, during those times.
