New Oak Creek High School Scoreboard, Sound System Proposed
The proposal states that the project would not exceed $350,000 and would be funded through five-year sponsorship agreements.

OAK CREEK, WI — Citing poor sound quality and escalating maintenance costs, Oak Creek High School officials are seeking approval to replace the Knights Community Stadium scoreboard and sound system.
The proposal goes before the Oak Creek-Franklin School Board on Monday, Feb. 12 for possible action.
According to Oak Creek High School Athletic Director Scott Holler, the scoreboard has reached the end of its life and has incurred $6,000 in maintenance costs to keep running.

In addition, Holler said that the stadium's speakers crackle and give out during the game and halftime performances.
To fix this, Holler is proposing to seek sponsorships to fund the cost of a new scoreboard and a new video board in Oak Creek High School's gymnasium. The proposal states that the project would not exceed $350,000 and would be funded through five-year sponsorship agreements.

According to meeting documents, if enough 5-year sponsorships are collected, the district will agree to fund the cost of the project up-front with the balance to be repaid to the school district with five years from the sponsorship funds.
The sponsorships include in-game commercials, logo placement, PA announcements, advertisement in a game-day program and passes to athletic events.
