New Year's Eve Foray Costly For 2 Oak Creek Teens: Report

Reports stated that the two teens were found with two open bottles of vodka.

OAK CREEK, WI -- A New Year's Eve celebration involving some vodka and an ill-fated car trip got two Oak Creek teens into some hot water with police, according to reports.

According to Oak Creek police reports, officers responded to a home in the 8300 block of S. Benjamin Drive just after 2:30 a.m. on Jan. 1 on a report that a black Ford Explorer crashed into the mailbox on the property. When police arrived, officers said they found two 17-year-old Oak Creek residents passed out inside the vehicle.

Reports stated that the two teens were found with two open bottles of vodka. The teens were issued preliminary breath tests, which returned blood alcohol concentrations of 0.01 and 0.03. The 17-year-old boy was cited for inattentive driving, possession of alcohol by an underage person. The 17-year-old girl was cited for possession of alcohol by an underage person and possession of tobacco by a minor.

Police reports indicated that the girl was picked up by her mother, and the boy was driven back home by police where he was turned over to his parents.
