Oak Creek Applebee's Evacuated Due To Fire: Police
The Applebee's was in the process of being evacuated due to heavy smoke pouring out of the ceiling of the building.

OAK CREEK, WI — Oak Creek police responded to the Applebee's just after 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 10 on a report of a fire.
According to police reports, the Applebee's was in the process of being evacuated due to heavy smoke pouring out of the ceiling of the building.
Reports indicated that there was the distinct smell of plastic burning. Upon investigation, it appeared that a power transformer across the street blew, and may have caused an issue with a fan motor.

Reports also noted that the company's fire protection contractor was already in the building on an unrelated maintenance call and was able to investigate the incident.
