Oak Creek Car Burglar Entered Garage With Stolen Opener: Report

OAK CREEK, WI -- Police in Oak Creek say a vehicle burglary suspect stole a garage door opener and burglarized a property's garage overnight.

According to Oak Creek police logs, a resident on the 1100 block of E. Connie Lane called police at just before 8 a.m. on May 20, saying that they had video footage of a man who stole multiple items from their garage.

Police records stated that a home owner reviewed footage and said they saw the driver of a dark-colored SUV pull up to the house just after 1 a.m. A person got out of the vehicle and entered an unlocked vehicle parked in the driveway.

According to police logs, after stealing a laptop, garage door opener and a pair of headphones, they returned to the scene about a minute later. They opened the garage door and stole more than $1,000 in goods including a television, multiple tools and rechargeable batteries.
