Oak Creek Christmas Tree Pickup, Holiday Schedule

City officials are advising residents to place discarded trees curbside for this collection.

OAK CREEK, WI -- Now that the 2018 holiday season is over, you might be looking for what to do with that real Christmas tree.

The Oak Creek Department of Public Works collects real Christmas trees regularly throughout the month of January for residents with City garbage collection.

City officials are advising residents to place discarded trees curbside for this collection. Trees can also be dropped off at the recycle yard during their normal hours of operation.

Natural wreaths, swags, garlands, etc. should be disposed of in the trash.

Garbage and recycling will be picked up as normal on Monday, Dec. 24 and 31, however, there will be no garbage or recycling collection on Christmas Day or New Year's Day. Additionally, from the holiday forward, pickups will be one day later than normal for the remainder of that week.

The regular collection schedule resumes the week of January 7.
