Oak Creek Community Tree Lighting Coming Up

Spectators can enjoy cookies and milk, as well as a coloring contest for children, and photos with Santa Claus.

OAK CREEK, WI — The holiday spirit officially comes to Oak Creek on the evening of Sunday, Nov. 26 as civic leaders and well-wishers gather for the city's annual community tree-lighting ceremony.

The event will be held at the Oak Creek Community Center, 8580 S. Howell Ave. from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The event will be held in the Community Center's courtyard. Santa is scheduled to arrive at 5:15 p.m. on a fire truck that will pull up to the community center.

Spectators can enjoy cookies and milk, as well as a coloring contest for children, and photos with Santa Claus. Santa is also scheduled to bring a gift bag of goodies - while supplies last.

Spectators are encouraged to bring a non-perishable item for the Salvation Army's Food Pantry.
