Oak Creek Company Helps Feed The Hungry Over Holidays
Ursa Logistics in Oak Creek helped provide the Hunger Task Force with food this season, but they have a much larger role over the holidays.

OAK CREEK, WI — As workers at the Hunger Task Force work to put together Thanksgiving meals for 800 families in Milwaukee, a local company in Oak Creek is helping to make sure the nonprofit has enough food to distribute this holiday season.
Ursa Logistics, 6925 S. 6th Street in Oak Creek, worked with the Hunger Task Force to hold a food donation drive at their company headquarters.
Theresa Siebenlist, of Ursa Logistics, said the company came up with the idea to begin the food drive starting Nov. 1 and ending on Nov. 20 to coincide with the National Hunger the Homelessness Awareness Week, which was held between Nov. 11-19 this year. CEO and Founder John Lampsa thought it was a good idea for his employees to get involved and signed off on the idea earlier this fall.

URSA Logistics is new to the Oak Creek community, moving from their former offices in Pewaukee to a larger campus, and a new building. The company has a much larger role over the holiday season. Ursa Logistics is a transportation company that hauls mail across the U.S. and employs between 350 to 400 drivers over the holidays to haul mail.
The company's effort stretched across all of its local offices, and had many employees all over the Midwest help out by donating either at their local food bank, or sending food in to help with the Hunger Task Force in Milwaukee.
