Oak Creek Could Give Up To $9.3 Million For Amazon Warehouse
Amazon would build on approximately 80 acres and construction would hopefully be done by 2020.

OAK CREEK, WI -- Officials in Oak Creek have approved up to $9.3 million in public financing toward the construction of a 2.6 million square foot distribution center for Amazon.com.
According to a Milwaukee Business Journal report, the source of that funding would come through a tax incremental financing district. That district would use property taxes generated by the Amazon building to repay $9.3 million to Hillwood over several years the Business Journal reported.

The Oak Creek facility would be four stories tall, would have 1,000 employees on-site at all times, and would be 75 acres in size. The facility would be located at the proposed Ryan Business Park. Capstone Development of Waukesha and General Capital Group of Fox Point are developing the business park, and Hillwood Development Co is working on the building.
