Oak Creek Dad Busts Son For Pot, Officers Deliver Lesson: Report

Police say an Oak Creek man called police because he believed his son was smoking marijuana out of one of the house windows.

OAK CREEK, WI — Police in Oak Creek responded to a home on the 6800 block of S. Highfield Dr. just before 1:30 a.m. on Aug. 6 on a report of a person smoking marijuana.

According to police reports, an Oak Creek man called police because he believed his son was smoking marijuana out of one of the house windows.

When police responded, reports indicated that officers did detect an odor of burning marijuana coming from the young man's room. When police questioned the young man, he reportedly told police that he no longer had any marijuana because he smoked it all.

According to police reports, the young man admitted to having one rolling paper and used it to smoke 0.6 grams of marijuana that he found in a nearby park.

According to reports, the officer requested to search the young man's room, however, he denied the officer's request to do so.

Police reported that the father wanted police to counsel his son on the potential consequences of his actions. Police indicated that they would speak with the young man's probation agent about the incident the next day during a home visit.
