Oak Creek Denny's Dine-And-Dash Involved 17 People: Report

Police in Oak Creek say a woman approached the cashier's desk saying she'd pay for everyone in her party. She didn't.

OAK CREEK, WI -- Police in Oak Creek say they're investigating a case in which 17 people dined-and-dashed at Denny's over the weekend.

According to Oak Creek police reports, police were called to the Denny's on the 9600 block of S. 20th Street just after 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 3. Reports stated a manager called police saying that a party of 17 people exited the restaurant without paying their bill which totaled to $215.54.

Police said that a woman wearing a black sweatshirt with the word PINK written on the front walked up to the cashier's desk and said she would be paying for everyone. Restaurant management told police that the woman was seen standing by the register for about one minute, before leaving the restaurant without paying, police said.

According to Oak Creek police, Denny's restaurant staff did not manage to obtain suspect or vehicle descriptions shortly after the incident.
