Oak Creek Fall Cleanup Coming Up

There is no charge for this pickup, but there is a charge for freon appliances and televisions.

OAK CREEK, WI -- For Oak Creek residents who are looking to get a little extra fall cleaning done, the Oak Creek Department of Public Works is conducting their fall cleanup beginning on Thursday, Nov. 15 for homes or condos that have City-provided garbage and recycling pickup.

There is no charge for this pickup, but there is a charge for freon appliances and televisions.

Items that will be picked up are as follows:
β€’ Garden Clippings (excluding leaves, grass and branches)
β€’ Furniture
β€’ Wood
β€’ Appliances (Doors need to be removed from refrigerators & freezers)
β€’ Construction Materials [not resulting from a contractor]
β€’ Metal
β€’ Mattresses
β€’ Televisions ($20/each)
β€’ Carpeting/Rugs/ Padding (rolls no greater than 4 feet in width)

Items that will not be picked up are as follows:
β€’ Paints
β€’ Tires
β€’ Batteries
β€’ Hazardous Materials
β€’ Grass Clippings
β€’ Leaves
β€’ Concrete
β€’ Branches
β€’ Fluorescent Lights
β€’ Concrete/Stone

People need to have their items at the curb or roadside by 6:45 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15 in order to be guaranteed a pickup.
