Don't Forget: Oak Creek Fall Cleanup is Tuesday

Get those yard chores done over the next couple of days, here's what Oak Creek will pick up on the curb (and what they won't pick up).

OAK CREEK -- Get those yard chores done over the next couple of days, because the Oak Creek Street Department will conduct its fall cleanup beginning Tuesday, November 15, 2016.

According to Oak Creek, items that will be picked up are as follows:
β€’ Garden clippings – excluding leaves, grass and branches
β€’ Appliances (Doors need to be removed from refrigerators and freezers)
β€’ Construction materials (not resulting from a contractor)
β€’ Metal
β€’ Televisions
β€’ Furniture
β€’ Mattresses
β€’ Carpeting/Rugs
β€’ Wood


Items that won't be picked up are:
β€’ Paints
β€’ Batteries
β€’ Hazardous Material
β€’ Fluorescent tubes
β€’ Tires
β€’ Concrete/stone/dirt
β€’ Grass Clippings
β€’ Leaves
β€’ Branches

Residents are required to have their items at the curb or roadside by 6:45 am on Tuesday, November 15 in order to be guaranteed a pickup. Once they pass through your neighborhood, they will not return for additional no-charge pickups until the spring cleanup on May 15, 2017.
