Oak Creek Family Survives Freak Tire Incident On I-94

OAK CREEK, WI — An Oak Creek mother and her three children survived a scary incident Monday when a tire from an oncoming vehicle came off and slammed into their vehicle.

"If I would've moved over this way or that way it would've hit me or my son in the face, and we would've been dead," mother Sylvia Headd said in a WISN report.

According to a WISN report, the tire came off an oncoming SUV on I-94 near Chase Ave., cleared the median and smashed into Headd's car and pinned her to the driver's seat, totaling her family's vehicle.

Headd and her oldest son suffered minor injuries. The other two children were uninjured.
