Oak Creek First Responders Save Overdose Man's Life: Report

According to reports, while at the hospital, the man told police that he took Percocet that he bought off the street.

OAK CREEK, WI — Police in Oak Creek responded to a home on the 8300 block of S. Yorkshire Drive just after 8 p.m. on June 24 on a report of a person who was not breathing and had a very weak pulse.

According to police reports, police and fire department, first responders arrived at the scene and found a man with a gray complexion, was not breathing and had a very weak pulse.

Police said that an officer did chest compressions on the man, and another officer assisted with a bag valve mask. Once Oak Creek Fire Department paramedics arrived, they determined the man had his pulse back.

Fire department first responders administered Narcan - a powerful drug overdose reversal agent - to the man and then transported him to Wheaton Franciscan Hospital for further treatment.

According to reports, while at the hospital, the man told police that he took Percocet that he bought off the street. He denied using any other narcotics, but said he used to inject heroin.
