Oak Creek K9 Officer Sniffs Out Half-Pound of Pot: Report

Reports indicated that Nox barked at the two, signaling the potential presence of illegal narcotics on them.

OAK CREEK, WI — A drug-sniffing dog in Oak Creek led authorities to a drug-doing duo with nearly half-a-pound of pot.

According to Oak Creek police reports, an Oak Creek police officer on patrol at Motel 6 with K9 officer Nox was walking around the building on the night of March 9. The officer and Nox went into the hotel's lobby where they found two people that smelled like marijuana. Reports indicated that Nox barked at the two, signaling the potential presence of illegal narcotics on them.

Reports stated that after a search, officers located five baggies of marijuana concealed in one person's underwear.

According to police reports, the officer and Nox did a search of their vehicle in the parking lot where they found a sealed bag containing 260 grams - about a little less than a half-a-pound - of marijuana under the driver's seat.

Reports stated that they were issued citations for possession of marijuana, and one person was cited for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.
