Oak Creek Man Charged: Accused Of Bringing Minor Home For Sex
An Oak Creek man was charged with child enticement and second-degree sexual assault of a child in Milwaukee County Court.

OAK CREEK, WI — An Oak Creek man is facing charges of 2nd degree sexual assault of a child and child enticement-sexual contact.
Giovanni Martinez, 31, of 7900 South 6th Street, was charged in Milwaukee County Court on Friday. He is accused of driving a girl from Illinois who was younger than 16 back to his residence in Oak Creek in January of 2021 and forcefully having sex with her, according to a criminal complaint.
If convicted for the second-degree sexual assault of a child charge, Martinez could be fined not more than $100,000 and/or imprisoned for not more than 40 years. If convicted for the child enticement charge, Martinez could be fined not more than $100,000 and/or imprisoned for not more than 25 years.

According to the criminal complaint, the victim said two had met on Tinder or Discord. When the victim was leaving Martinez's residence with a ride-sharing app, he "pulled her out of the building by her arm and told her multiple times that they never met and nothing happened between them," the criminal complaint said.
The rideshare driver contacted police in Racine, the complaint said. The driver told police in an interview that the victim told them she was abused, beaten up and had threats made against her family, according to the criminal complaint.

When Martinez was arrested he told police he thought the victim was turning 19, according to the complaint.
A preliminary hearing for Martinez was scheduled for Feb. 14.
