Oak Creek Man Dies In Racine County Motorcycle Accident
A 55-year-old Oak Creek man is dead, and a 59-year-old Racine resident was involved in an early-morning fatal motorcycle accident Monday.

RACINE COUNTY,WI — A 55-year-old Oak Creek man is dead, and a 59-year-old Racine resident was involved in an early-morning fatal motorcycle accident Monday in Racine County.
Caledonia Police responded to an accident between a car and a motorcycle at the intersection of Highway 38 and 7 Mile Rd early Monday morning.
A preliminary investigation by police revealed a vehicle traveling north attempted to turn west on 7 Mile Rd., and failed to yield the right of way to a motorcycle traveling south.

Police say that 55-year-old Joseph Cocking of the 700 block of E. Mackinac Ave. was the motorcycle operator who was deceased. Carrie D. Niles of Racine was cited by police as the operator of the vehicle that collided with Cocking.
According to police, the motorcycle struck the side of the vehicle and Cocking was thrown from the motorcycle. Life-saving efforts were started by a good Samaritan and continued by Caledonia Police and Fire.

Cocking was pronounced at the scene. Niles was cited for failure to yield the right of way. Caledonia Police were assisted by the State Highway Patrol TRU Unit, Racine Sheriff and the Oak Creek Police Department.
