Oak Creek Man Dies While Shoveling Snow: Report

OAK CREEK, WI — All of that icy, slushy, heavy wet snow that fell on our area over the weekend has claimed one life, the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner said Monday.

According to a report from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, 52-year-old Daniel C. Harris was pronounced dead after collapsing in the stairwell of his girlfriend's apartment following a round of snow shoveling just before the incident. The apartment was located on Milwaukee's north side.

According to the National Weather Service, just more than three inches of snow and wintry mix fell on the area by Sunday evening, with about one more inch of snow predicted for Monday.
