Oak Creek Man Learned Car Struck By Milwaukee Fire Truck

When police investigated, officers reported that a City of Milwaukee fire truck was responding to an emergency medical call.

OAK CREEK, WI -- According to Oak Creek police logs, officers responded to the area of the 6400 block of S. 20th Street on the afternoon of June 14 on a report of a hit-and-run accident, though this one was not of the typical variety.

Police logs stated that the management at College Court Apartments received a message that morning that a witness across the street saw a fire truck do a U-turn, only to strike the man's car.

When police investigated, officers reported that a City of Milwaukee fire truck was responding to an emergency medical call, when the driver of the truck attempted to execute a U-turn to head back north on S. 20th Street.

Police call logs stated that the man's car sustained minor front-end damage and that the driver had insurance. The Milwaukee fire truck was undamaged, call logs stated.
