Oak Creek Man's 5th OWI Is A Drug Cocktail
The vehicle nearly struck a bridge and it appeared the driver was falling unconscious, according to police reports.

OAK CREEK, WI — An Oak Creek man faces time in prison on his fifth OWI offense after investigators found the man to have a drug cocktail flowing through his system at the time of his traffic stop.
On Sunday, February 12, Cudahy Police were dispatched to a report of a possible impaired driver in a 2004 Chevrolet SUV.
The 911 caller stated that she observed the Chevrolet swerving in and out of its lane, saying the vehicle would randomly stop for no reason and continued to deviate from its lane as she followed the vehicle. The vehicle nearly struck a bridge and it appeared the driver was falling unconscious, according to police reports.

According to those reports, police caught up to the SUV and initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle at 3500 Block East Barnard Avenue, in the City of Cudahy. The officer made contact with the driver, Daniel Kannegiesser to have droopy eyelids, bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and lethargic movements. Kannegiesser also had difficulty retrieving his driver’s license from his wallet.
According to his criminal complaint, a search of Kannegiesser revealed a silver pill container containing one Diazepam and one Oxycodone pill.

His complaint stated that Kannegiesser was conveyed to St. Luke’s Southshore where, within three hours of his traffic stop for a blood draw. An analysis showed that Kannegiesser's blood contained benzodiazepines in addition to Valium, Alprazolam and Oxycodone.
He was taken into custody on his fifth OWI offense - a felony charge in Wisconsin.
