Oak Creek Menard's Theft Plot Busted: Report
Police in Oak Creek were called to Menard's on a report that a person who was returning saw blades was up to criminal activity.

OAK CREEK, WI — Police in Oak Creek say that apparent drug users who tried stealing from Menards were caught when one of the suspects tried to return the stolen merchandise for cash just minutes after it was stolen.
According to police reports, a loss prevention officer at Menard's saw a man steal three saw blades on the afternoon of July 20, only to have a woman come back about 10 minutes later attempting to return them for their cash value of $83.96.
Reports stated that the woman was arrested for attempting to make a fraudulent return. When police investigated, they learned that the getaway vehicle - a tan Nissan Altima - was occupied by the man suspected of stealing the saw blades.

When police investigated, officers reported finding needles and drug paraphernalia in the van. Police took the woman, man and two passengers in the van into custody. The woman who tried making the return was cited for retail theft and possession of drug paraphernalia. The man was cited for retail theft. Two passengers were cited as parties to the crime and possession of drug paraphernalia.
