Oak Creek Police Called On Suspicious Utility Worker: Report

When police contacted the apartment's maintenance worker, he said he wasn't working that day.

OAK CREEK, WI — Oak Creek residents in an apartment complex were visited by a suspicious person who appeared to be a utility worker late last week.

Oak Creek police were called to the Springbrook Circle Apartments just after 5:30 p.m. on Friday on a report of a suspicious person.

According to police reports, a 30-year-old man with a beard and a black hoodie came to an apartment resident's door, stating that the water was contaminated and that he needed to shut off the water from inside the apartment.

Police reports state that the man did not carry any identification on him. Police followed up with the apartment manager, who told officers that they were not informed that anyone would be coming over to address such a problem.

Reports stated that the man was seen entering a navy blue SUV occupied by another man. When police made contact with the apartment complex's maintenance employee, he told police that he wasn't at work at the time of the police call.
