Oak Creek Police Looking For Hit-And-Run Driver: Report

Police said the driver of the striking car left one of the vehicle's license plates at the scene.

OAK CREEK, WI — Police in Oak Creek say they're attempting to track down the owner of a vehicle that was responsible for a crash on Highway 100 in which two signs and a light pole were struck.

According to Oak Creek police call logs, officers responded to the 3300 block of E. Highway 100 at just after 1:30 p.m. on Aug. 1 after the driver of a vehicle struck two street signs and a light pole.

Police said the light pole was toppled in the median. Police also said the driver of the striking car left one of the vehicle's license plates at the scene.

Officers said they were able to track down the car, and saw that the driver, a 32-year-old South Milwaukee man, fled the scene. Police have been attempting to track down the driver.
