Oak Creek Police Respond To 7 Vehicle Break-In Calls: Police
One homeowner told police he spotted a man rummaging through his car in the garage - only to have the suspect flash a gun at him.

OAK CREEK, WI -- A vehicle break-in wave is continuing in Oak Creek as residents call police, reporting intruders rifling through unlocked cars, open garages and the like. According to Oak Creek police logs, officers responded to seven such calls in a five-day span last week - including one where a homeowner told police one such burglar flashed a handgun.
June 2, 11:22 a.m.
Police responded to the 10300 block of S. Paul Drive on a report of a vehicle break-in. Police say that a suspect entered an unlocked car that was parked in a garage. The vehicle owner said that a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses valued at $550 had been stolen.
June 1, 4:04 p.m.
Police responded to a home on the 8000 block of S. Willow Drive on a report of a theft from a parked vehicle. According to police call logs, a car burglary suspect was chased off by a woman's boyfriend after the boyfriend - who was out smoking in the garage - saw the suspect drive up in a black SUV, get out of the car and hurriedly enter and exit a car in the driveway. When he saw this happen, the boyfriend reportedly started yelling and running after the burglar.

June 1, 6:35 a.m.
A resident on the 1100 block of W. Wayland Drive called police, saying that a suspect entered his garage, rummaged through an unlocked vehicle that was parked inside, and stole a 10-speed bicycle valued at $400.
May 29, 7:33 a.m.
Police say they recorded two vehicle break-ins on the 800 block of E. Scenic Road. According to police, officers were called to the area on a report that a suspect entered a woman's unlocked vehicle that was parked in her driveway and stole a garage door opener, a watch and other items. While they were on the scene, they learned of a second vehicle entry at a neighboring house. Nothing was missing, though the vehicle had been rummaged through, police said in their call log

May 29, 2:18 p.m.
Police responded to a home on the 600 block of E. Arthur Drive on a report of a vehicle break-in. According to police call logs, the vehicle owner parked his unlocked car in the driveway, only to have a suspect enter it and steal a number of small hand tools. A person in the area who was out walking his dog at the time of the incident told police he saw a gray Honda van slowly driving the area with two people inside and felt it was suspicious.

A woman on the 100 block of W. Fairfield Court said a suspect entered her unlocked vehicle and stole prescription medication and her phone charger sometime between 2 a.m. and 7:30 a.m.
May 29, 8:02 p.m.
A truck owner called police from Bender Park, saying that a truck with a trailer had its window busted, and glass was found on the ground. The approximate damage was $300.
