Good second-quarter performance driven by investment in power plant on Elm Road.

Wisconsin Energy had a good second quarter thanks in part to its power plant in Oak Creek.

Net income from continuing operations was $98 million, or 41 cents a share, for the second quarter of 2011. That's up from $88 million, or 37 cents a share, during the second quarter of 2010.
