Saturday, March 28th @ 1:30 pm., 'Challenging Behaviors' presented by 'Kohl's Building Blocks & Penfield Children's Center'

New for 2015 at the Oak Creek Public Library:
‘Parent Workshops’ presented by Kohl’s Building Blocks & Penfield Children’s Center. There will be a different topic discussed the 4th Saturday of each month (January-April) 1:30-2:30 p.m.
Workshops will increase the knowledge of child development , manage expectations, show how to advocate for children and how to access community resources. They are 45 minutes to one hour in length. Free child supervision will be provided in the East meeting room, while the workshop will take place in the West meeting room.

This session will focus on understanding challenging behaviors in children (birth to five) and will discuss discipline strategies to use with young children and how to react to behavior problems as a parent.
After attending this workshop, participants will be able to:
1. Recognize common challenging behaviors.
2. Identify and use age appropriate strategies for addressing challenging behaviors.
3. Practice strategies that could help prevent challenging behaviors.
