Oak Creek Receives $107K From FEMA

Federal government reimburses city for blizzard expenses.

City officials have announced that Oak Creek will receive $107,199 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency as reimbursement for expenses incurred during the Feb. 2 blizzard.

You might remember that storm as the one that dropped about 20 inches of snow on southeastern Wisconsin and .

The money from FEMA reimburses the city for personnel, material and equipment costs and accounts for about 87.5 percent of its total costs, according to a report to Common Council members.
